Steps
- Wash and wax RV.
- Check for cracks.
- Inspect seams and seals.
- Clean awning.
- Look for leaks, including water pump.
- Inspect generator.
- Inspect and charge batteries. Clean corrosion.
- Top off your water levels with distilled water.
- Check tire pressure and look for cracks.
- Air out vehicle.
- Look for damage, including discoloration.
- Check for mold by opening fridge and cabinets.
- Change air and water filters.
- Rinse window screens.
- Clean and test appliances.
- Inspect outside access covers.
- Remove RV antifreeze.
- Sanitize water system.
- Look for cracks in drain tap.
- Dump black and gray tanks at approved facility.
- Check propane system for cracked seals and hoses.
- Visit repair facility if due for annual gas pressure operating test.
- Hitch rig to tow vehicle correctly.
- Turn on tow vehicle and drive around block. Check brakes and turn signals.
- Inspect carbon monoxide detector, smoke alarm, LP gas leak detector and fire extinguishers.
