Time outside, relaxation, and family fun are all great reasons to go camping, but a recent survey from camping website, Hipcamp, found that mental health is the top motivator when it comes to this beloved pastime. Another surprising statistic is that more people (36 percent) plan to go camping with their pets rather than their children (29 percent) or their parents (5 percent), but only 1 percent will be taking along a cat. Who’s the top choice for a camping companion? More than 70 percent of respondents prefer to travel with their romantic partners.

More than $103 million in funding will be given to wildfire combat efforts, thanks to President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Plan.
