This State Is Banning Gas Car Sales

California is set to become the first state to ban the sales of new gas-powered cars. In hopes of making a powerful impact on climate change, California’s new regulations will begin in 2035. Currently, only 12 percent of new vehicles sold in the state have no fossil fuel emissions, and the state plans to bring that to 100 percent. Manufacturers are concerned about supply chain issues, especially semiconductors, as they work to make this major shift. Virginia and Washington have also announced similar decisions, with more states expected to follow suit.

Diarrhea While Camping Is No Fun

Diarrhea can quickly make your camping experience unpleasant, and also leave you feeling sick. Thankfully a little prevention can go a long way. Make sure to screen water sources carefully and carry along gear to properly disinfect any questionable water. Always use a meat thermometer to ensure you’ve killed bacteria when cooking, and store meats below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The same is true for dirty dishes, which can contain bacteria-laden scraps and remnants of toxic dish soap if not properly cleaned. You should also use hand sanitizer regularly since you’ll likely be washing your hands less often with the absence of bathrooms in the outdoors.
