There’s no need to have an RV of your own when you stay at an Autocamp location. This luxury campground chain offers Airstream rentals and over-the-top amenities, like high-end linen bedding, free cruiser bikes, and on-site chef-prepared meals. In 2023, Autocamp plans to open four more luxe properties near Asheville, North Carolina; Texas Hill Country; Utah’s Zion National Park; and California’s Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Current offerings are found near Cape Cod, Yosemite, Joshua Tree, the Catskills, and California Wine Country. Autocamp has seen impressive bookings and hopes to expand on its success.

California is set to become the first state to ban the sales of new gas-powered cars. In hopes of making a powerful impact on climate change, California’s new regulations will begin in 2035. Currently, only 12 percent of new vehicles sold in the state have no fossil fuel emissions, and the state plans to bring that to 100 percent. Manufacturers are concerned about supply chain issues, especially semiconductors, as they work to make this major shift. Virginia and Washington have also announced similar decisions, with more states expected to follow suit.

Jayco shared exciting details about what’s coming for 2023, debuting three new units and numerous new floor plans, upgrades, and features at the annual Dealer Homecoming event. The manufacturer is embracing European styling across its lineup, starting with the new Jay Feather Volaré, designed to be more aerodynamic and appeal to younger buyers. Also new is the Class B Solstice Li, the first Jayco built on the Ford Transit chassis. Finally, the Seneca XT is an off-road-ready Super Class C built on a Freightliner chassis.

Where can you go to escape the noise and light pollution found across the U.S.? Quiet Parks International (QPI), a nonprofit organization, can tell you. QPI uses data and sound tests to identify the quietest locales worldwide and gives them the official “Quiet Parks” designation. The quietest place in the world is Hawaii’s Haleakala National Park. In the contiguous U.S., you can find solace at Hoh Rainforest in Washington; Big Bend Ranch State Park in Texas; American Prairie Preserve and Glacier National Park in Montana; and Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Minnesota.

You should also use hand sanitizer regularly since you’ll likely be washing your hands less often with the absence of bathrooms in the outdoors.
