Watch out for Scams while Purchasing an RV

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. You may see ads pop up on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace for $1,000 Airstreams in like-new condition. While those listings should instantly set off red flags, other scammers post completely reasonable-looking ads to entice buyers. Due to the current increase in RV sales and the slowdowns in production, dealership lots are low on inventory, sending more buyers into the private market. To avoid being taken advantage of, the Better Business Bureau warns that you should always see the RV in person first, research the seller, and use a website tracker to verify details before exchanging any money.

Thor Motor Coach embraces the current modern farmhouse design trend with a new interior option for the 2021 Chateau 31E, a bunkhouse Class C motorhome. The Home Collection Estate Grey design package features cream-colored cabinetry, whitewashed flooring, and alabaster furnishings. Dark matte accents are found in the sleek cabinet hardware, deep chocolate valances, and high-arched kitchen faucet. This 32-foot, 7-inch rig can sleep seven  thanks to the bunk beds, cab-over bunk, and private bedroom, as well as the convertible dinette and jack-knife sofa. The fresh interior, with its cool color palette, makes the space feel even larger.

From Old RV to Modern Family Farmhouse

Sitting in the Herndons’ chic living room, with its soft colors and boho-inspired decor, it is easy to forget that you are inside what was once an outdated RV. Foregoing the expensive housing market while deciding to live more simply, Jesse and Kenzie Herndon opted to renovate a home on wheels. The charming bedroom/playroom for their children is worthy of a spread in a home design magazine. The 387-square-foot RV doesn’t feel too small for their family of four since it sits on 22 acres. With a focus on self-sustainability, the family has chickens and goats and hopes to soon add cows to their unique farmstead. When they are ready to relocate, their home can go along for the ride.

You Won’t Be Roughing It at this Oregon Campground

Bay Point Landing was designed with the modern camper in mind, one who wants to be in touch with nature, while having luxurious, well-appointed accommodations. Located on the southern Oregon coast, Bay Point Landing offers sweeping views of the bay from its thoughtfully designed communal spaces. Take a dip in the indoor saltwater pool or work up a sweat while looking out from the fitness center’s wall of windows. Indoor and outdoor activity stations invite kids—and kids at heart—to play and socialize. Those with their own RVs can book seaside campsites, steps away from the ocean. Rental cabins feature modern Scandanavian design, which melds beautifully with the location, while rental Airstream units are another elegant option.
