All U.S. National Forests Temporarily Closed in California
In response to wildfire conditions in California, the USDA Forest Service temporarily closed all national forests, including campgrounds, roads, and trails, through September 17. This reduces the likelihood of visitors accidentally causing an uncontrollable fire or becoming trapped in emergency situations. These closures do not affect national parks, Bureau of Land Management sites, highways, or state parks. Though Yosemite National Park remains open, day-use reservations are currently required for entrance.
