Ingenious IKEA Mods for Your RV Renovations

RV renovations can be intimidating, but IKEA’s furniture can add style to your rig without breaking the bank (or weight limit). Experts Rachel Oldenburger and Libby Behrens share their favorite IKEA hacks with us. Create sophisticated storage spaces using the KALLAX storage cubes or the HULTARP rail system. Many of IKEA’s shoe storage cabinets can be used to tuck away practically anything. And with more campers working from the road, the SVALNÄS floating desk is a smart way to add workspace. Find photos of these mods and more on Togo RV.

LGBTQ-Inclusive RV Parks Gain Traction

Campgrounds and RV parks catering to members of the LGBTQ+ community are springing up across the U.S., providing inclusive spaces where campers can feel safe and accepted. The members-only parks, like Woods Camping Resort in the Pocono Mountains, also provide a built-in sense of community, which is further enhanced by focused entertainment options, including themed weekends, costume parties, and concerts, in addition to traditional campground offerings. While some campgrounds cater to young singles, others are more family-friendly.

Which Bike Rack Works for Your Rig?

Hauling bikes with your RV is a little trickier than it seems, mainly due to the different options on the market and compatibility with your RV or tow vehicle. Bicycling magazine tested dozens of bike racks and reviewed them for rig compatibility in this roundup. For a hitch-mounted rack, try the Kuat Sherpa, or the Thule ProRide XT for a wheels-on roof rack. The Dakine DLX Pickup Tailgate Pad is another option well suited for RVers.
